Tour and wine tasting at Hoeve Nekum

Tasting fine wines in an old Limburg farmhouse is a delightful and educational experience for wine connoisseurs and occasional wine drinkers alike.

The Hoeve Nekum Vineyard lies in the picturesque Jeker Valley just outside Maastricht. The farmstead dates back to the 14th century and has a monumental gateway that gives it a castle-like appearance. In the distance, you can admire the vineyard on the south side of the Louwberg hillside. Near the farmhouse is a demonstration vineyard that the winegrower uses to explain all about viticulture. You will then visit the wine cellar where the wine making process is explained including the grape press, fermentation vessels, and bottling plant. By the end, you'll know all about the special art of wine making!

Curious about the final results once you've finished the tour? No need to wonder, as this activity ends in suitable style with a pleasant wine tasting session.
