Whether you are a real wine connoisseur or just enjoy a glass on special occasions, this excursion is a must for you!
Maastricht is a traditional wine city, where wine grapes have been cultivated for many centuries. On the Louwberg hillside, in the beautiful Jeker Valley on the south side of the city, lies the monumental 15th-century Apostelhoeve (Apostle Farmstead); the oldest and largest vineyard of the Netherlands! During a tour of the vineyard, you'll stroll among the grapevines, enjoying the spectacular view of the Jeker Valley and hearing all about how the wine is cultivated. You'll be able to see the equipment, such as the grape press, fermentation tanks, and bottling machine. Round off the tour with a delicious wine-tasting session, under the guidance of an expert winegrower. Cheers!
